What is Mock Trial?

Mock trial is a public speaking competition that introduces you to the world of trial lawyers. Students learn court procedure, hone their acting skills, and perfect their persuasive abilities in a year-long collegiate competition as they travel nationwide to represent the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

 

UTC Mock Trial is the premier public speaking organization on campus. Our fall 2026 auditions have now concluded - we can't wait to see what this season has in store!​

UTC capped off the 2022-23 season by qualifying once again for the National Championships, becoming one of only 48 teams, out of over 600 total, to earn that honor.
