Jackson Regionals

Both Mock Trial teams traveled down to Jackson, Mississippi to compete at Regionals over the February 19th-21st weekend. The weekend consisted on a 1-2-1 style tournament hosted by Mississippi College of Law. Both teams faced tough competition, but Gold Team and Blue Team finished with winning 6-2 records. We are pleased to report that for the first time in UTC history, two teams received bids to advance to the Opening Round of the Championship Series (ORCS). In addition to these two bids we had a total of three individual awards received by our program. Zeke Starr (Blue Team) and Ethan Greene (Gold Team) both received outstanding attorney awards. In addition, Alanna Rice (Blue Team) received an outstanding witness award. UTC was also the only school to receive more than one bid at the Jackson Regional. We are beyond ecstatic to walk away with such a notable record and were thrilled of the support we received from the school upon returning home. We will be competing in the Memphis ORCS from March 18th-20th hosted at the Shelby County Courthouse in a similar style 1-2-1 tournament we saw at regionals.
